The Sheets and Giggles Eucalyptus sheets are made of 100% eucalyptus lyocell, which is certified USDA BioPreferred, meaning that it is 100% plant-based and 100% biodegradable.
Using the sateen weave, they are naturally softer and smoother, with a bit of a shine to them. Eucalyptus sheets also sleep cooler as they work with your body to self-regulate its temperature, meaning that you’ll never sweat or overheat.

What Is Inside The Sheets & Giggles Eucalyptus Sheets?
In this review, we tested the Sheets & Giggles Eucalyptus Sheet Set (also known as The Sheet Set) in Gray, but you can choose from 10 plain colors that mix and match well together, or 3 striped patterns.
The Sheets & Giggles eucalyptus sheets are made of 100% eucalyptus lyocell, which comes from the pulp of eucalyptus trees. The trees harvested by Sheets & Giggles come from sustainably-focused bio-diverse farms, and use a closed loop manufacturing process. This means that 99.6% of all water and solvents used in the production of the fabric, are reused, lowering the impact on the planet and local communities.
The eucalyptus lyocell used in the Sheets & Giggles products use 30% less water than the production of cotton, and because eucalyptus trees are naturally insect repellent, there is no need for insecticides, pesticides, or neonics, which kill honeybee populations and end up in the soil and water.
We will discuss softness and temperature in the paragraphs below, however, eucalyptus is a material that sleeps cool, very soft, hypoallergenic, clean, and is much softer on the planet than cotton or polyester.

How Does The Sheets & Giggles Sheet Set Sleep?
Softness
All products in the Sheets & Giggles Sheet Set sleep buttery soft. Eucalyptus is a fiber that is rounder than other fibers, and the sheets are sateen weaved, which uses a 3-under-1-over weaving pattern that makes the fabric luxuriously soft.
We honestly find it hard to come out of bed in the morning, and very much look forward to laying in softness at night. It is the coziest kind of softness, which, unlike silk, does not feel cold and crispy. Instead, expect luxurious sheets with softness that keeps on giving! And because of eucalyptus’ properties, expect your sheets to get softer with every wash!
We love that the Sheets & Giggles eucalyptus sheets withstand the test of time. There is virtually no pilling in eucalyptus bedding and you can enjoy all of the softness for years and years.
Temperature
This is where eucalyptus shines! It is thermo-regulating, meaning that by wicking away your body moisture while you sleep, your body is able to keep the perfect temperature for sleep. If you are a hot sleeper, you will not sweat and will find that you keep cool at night. On cold nights, however, the Sheets & Giggles sheets will keep you sleeping warm and cozy thanks to the eucalyptus’ properties.
Bed Sheet Sizes
The Sheets & Giggles eucalyptus sheets comes in 7 sizes – Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, California King, and Split King. The set comes with a fitted sheet – which fits mattresses up to 20 inches thick, which is virtually every mattress on the market – a flat sheet, and 2 pillow cases.
The Twin and Twin XL come with only 1 pillowcase, while the Split King comes with 2 fitted sheets.
Are The Sheets And Giggles Sheets The Highest Thread Count Eucalyptus Bedding?
Thread count is always a controversial topic and I past a certain thread count, you start looking at mixes of materials and the number matters very little. In the eucalyptus world, however, 600 thread count is the highest thread count there is, and Sheets & Giggles’s eucalyptus sheets and pillowcases are 400-thread count.
More than thread count, however, you should look at the weaving technique. The Sheets and Giggles sheets and pillowcases are sateen weaved, which is a thicker weaving technique, yielding to the softest fabrics.
How Do I Care For The Sheets & Giggles Sheets?
The eucalyptus lyocell used in the Sheets & Giggles sheets gets softer with every wash, if you take good care of them. While they are easy to care for, you should follow the following instructions.
Wash in your washing machine, in cold water. Yes, I promise they will come out clean! If you have a delicates setting, that will work even better. But as long as your water is cold, you’re good to go! You will be preserving the quality of the sheets!
It is best to wash your sheets on their own, and not mix them with other materials (cotton, polyester…), to protect the fibers. Make sure to never add bleach, fabric softener, or harsh detergent. Of course, eucalyptus-based detergents are based, but any gentle detergent will work just fine.
Once washed, dry on low tumble. Nothing hard – just separate, wash on cold, mild detergent, and dry on low tumble!
Note that eucalyptus is hypoallergenic and antibacterial, as well as non-static, so they do not attract human / pet hair or dust, and repel dust mites, mold, and mildew. Because of those properties, the Sheets & Giggles eucalyptus sheets can go a couple more days between washes, saving you time, energy, and water.
