What Is Inside The Zonli Cooling Weighted Blanket?
The Zonli Cooling Weighted Blanket is a pretty straight forward blanket. Its cover is made of 100% organic viscose from bamboo. As a breathable and naturally moisture-wicking material, expect your body’s extra moisture to be wicked away quickly and evaporate, helping your body regulate its own temperature to the perfect sleeping temperature for you. You will neither sleep hot, nor cold, and should not be experiencing mid-night sweats. Because bamboo fibers are hypoallergenic, they work great for people who suffer from allergies, asthma, and/or skin conditions.
Zonli uses a small-pocket stitch design in their weighted insert. They fill each pocket with microfiber and glass sand, which is glass broken down so finely you barely feel it. The reason the glass is mixed in microfiber, is to avoid it shifting to one side of the blanket overnight, keeping the cooling blanket’s weight even no matter how much you move. It also creates extra thickness and plushness, adding comfort to the Zonli Cooling Weighted Blanket.
The design ensures perfect body contouring for a cozy night of sleep. You will find that the pressure is evenly pressed against your entire body, giving you a full-body relaxation experience.
How Does The Zonli Cooling Weighted Blanket Sleep?
Softness
The cover of the Zinlo Cooling Weighted Blanket is made of organic bamboo fibers, which are some of the softest fibers in the bedding industry. Additionally, its weighted insert is plusher than average, thanks to its microfiber fill. You can expect a very soft and cozy sleep.
Temperature
Because the Zonli Cooling Weighted Blanket is made of bamboo, its moisture-wicking properties help your body self-regulate its temperature to keep your body at the temperature that feels right to YOU!
While the microfiber / glass weight insert does not let quite as much air flow through the blanket, as other weighted blankets we have sleep tested, we did not experience overheating or sweating during our test nights.
Weight
The blanket’s weight is very evenly distributed. The glass sand is securely fastened inside the microfiber fill and Zonli’s stitching pattern. We did not find the weight to shift inside the blanket, which was very comfortable.
The Zonli Bamboo 2.0 Cooling Weighted Blanket is designed to cover an entire queen or king-size bed and to cover 2 sleepers. Make sure to take your combined body weights when considering which weight to purchase. Again, the size of the blanket (queen vs. king) will matter less than the weight, as both sizes will fully cover all mattresses.

How Do I Care For My Zonli Weighted Blanket And Bamboo Cover?
Both products are incredibly easy to clean, since machine washable.
The Zonli Cooling Weighted Blanket can be entirely thrown in the washing machine when comes time to wash. Before you do, however, make sure to check your machine’s maximum load to ensure you do not break the tumble. A 20 to 35-lb weighted insert may be too heavy for many residential washers.
The Zonli Cooling Weighted Blanket bamboo cover can be unzipped and should be washed as often as you would wash any other regular comforter cover. When ready, unzip it and machine wash it on cold. It is recommended to let it air dry, or you can tumble dry it on low.
You will soon notice that the more you wash your bamboo bedding, the softer it gets, and the less wrinkly it becomes! It is such as fun material to work with in bedding.
As far as the insert goes, and only after having checked your washer’s specs for weight limits… you can throw it in your washing machine using low tumble or a gentle cycle. It is recommended to hand wash it however and air dry. Note that you may need to hit and shake your weighted insert once washed, to even redistribute its microfiber / sand fill. We recommend only washing the weighted insert periodically, to increase lifespan.
Ideal Weight For Weighted Blankets
The general rule of thumb for the ideal weight for weighted blankets for adults is 10% of your body weight, plus or minus a couple of pounds. For children, you will find that they generally enjoy 10% to 30% of their body weight on them. Before letting a child sleep with a weighted blankets, ensure that they can safely remove themselves from the blanket on their own!!
Let’s look at an example for most adults: you weigh 150 lbs and 10% of your body weight is 15 lbs. If you add or remove a couple of pounds, the ideal weight for your weighted blanket would likely be 13 lbs to 17 lbs.
The other way to think about this is to look at a 15-lb weighted blanket. It would comfortably soothe a person weighing between 130 and 170 pounds.
Your preference in terms of weight and hugging sensation will impact the ideal weight for your weighted blanket. Most importantly, you need to be able to remove the blanket from your body unassisted.
