4 Layers Of Memory Foam
The CRaVE Luxury Firm Hybrid mattress is made of 3 layers of foam above the innerspring coils and 1 layer below. The memory foam is cool, contouring, and very plush in the upper layer. It is followed by a highly responsive layer of Rely foam and a high density soy-based foam, which acts as a transition layer before the pocketed coils. The bottom-most memory foam layer is a soy-based foam base that brings stability and an outlet for the coils to compress into.

The CRaVE Luxury Firm Hybrid innerspring mattress is made with pocketed coils to ensure low mention transfer (think none!!) and full spinal support.
Eco Friendly / OEKO-TEX / CertiPUR-US
CRaVE is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint. All of the mattresses are designed and manufactured in High Point, NC, and the CEO ensures that all materials are sourced within 200 miles of the factory. We are giving it a 3 out of 10 on the firmness test, making it a soft and hugging option. You will lay in contouring plushness and never want to get out! At the same time, you won't feel stuck into the mattress, thanks to an inch of highly responsive rely foam right beneath the upper foam layer, and the innerspring coils, that make getting in and out easy. |
The upper 1-inch layer of memory foam in the CRaVE mattress, is a gel memory foam. It is there to keep you from overheating at night. That layer creates high airflow, further aided by the pocketed coils that bring air up to the layers of memory foam. We tested this mattress as temperature neutral throughout the night. |
The mattress cover is a heavyweight poly nylon blend stretch knit that cannot be removed. In case of a stain, blot it with a cloth, water, and mild detergent, and try to get to it as quickly as possible. |

It is the second plushest CRaVE mattress, and, unless you are a lightweight back sleeper who loves very soft mattresses, I'd probably only recommend it for side-sleepers. Detailed CRaVE Mattress Review Conclusion
Of the five CRaVE mattress models, the Luxury Firm is the second plushest. You will find it to be soft and contouring, without a feeling of sinking in too deep or getting stuck in the foam. Several layers of cool, responsive, and high density memory foam work together with the pocketed coils to provide a supportive and cool night of sleep. Where the CRaVE mattress truly impressed us is on the motion transfer test. If you are sleeping with a partner, you will love the motion isolation that comes with this mattress. No more waking up to your partner moving through the night.
We love seeing a 100-night in-home sleep trial. As always when you switch mattresses, make sure to give it several weeks. Your body needs to adapt to the new sleeping surface and it may not be love-at-first-sleep. I always recommend giving a new mattress 3 or 4 weeks before returning it. Should you still be unsatisfied with your purchase, you have until your 100th night to change your mind. What Is Inside The CRaVE Luxury Firm Hybrid?
The CRaVE Luxury Firm Hybrid mattress is made of a thick cover, 3 layers of memory foam, and pocketed coils compressing into a bottom layer of foam. All of the materials are sourced and manufactured in the USA and all foams are OEKO-TEX and CertiPUR-US certified – making this mattress one of our top eco friendly mattresses.
Let’s take a look at the mattress cover first. The first you will notice when looking at the mattress, is the beautiful design of its cover. It is a thick heavyweight poly nylon blend stretch knit cover that is breathable and cool. Not only good looking, it adds to the overall plushness of the mattress.
The upper layer is one inch of gel memory foam. As the closest layer of memory foam to your body, it is there to provide extreme pressure relief, especially beneficial to the side sleepers. The gel infusion gives a cooling effect to the cover, thanks to better airflow, and adds responsiveness to the material. You get all of the contouring and plushness, and none of the getting stuck in. That top layer is supportive and comfortable.
The second layer of memory foam is one inch of rely foam, which we are seeing in more and more mattresses lately. It is a very responsive layer with bounce back. In other words, it instantly moves with you, so neither you, nor the heat, gets trapped in the mattress.
The third layer acts as a transition layer into the innerspring coils. Its two inches ensure a comfortable transition from the top layers of foam into the coils.
Then come the six inches of individually-pocketed coils. They move independently from one another, to provide one of the best motion transfer we have ever tested. You will hardly feel your partner’s movements! The innersprings are also there to provide support to your hips and shoulders. The perimeter of the mattress is made of nested coils for extra support and to avoid the feeling of rolling off. Sleeping from edge to edge is possible on the CRaVE Luxury Firm Hybrid.
As with all hybrid mattresses, the coils compress into one inch of poly foam, adding stability and life to the innersprings.
How Does The CRaVE Luxury Firm Hybrid Sleep?
Firmness
If you are looking for a soft and plush mattress, see it as your perfect match. The Luxury Firm Hybrid sleeps very soft and we rated it a 3 out of 10 on the firmness scale. We recommend this CRaVE mattress to side sleepers and you will love the soft and deep contouring for deep pressure point relief of your hips and shoulders. Not to be worried however, the three layers of memory foam and the stronger innersprings mean that you won’t ever feel stuck in the mattress. It is responsive enough and switching positions won’t be an issue.
Sleeping Style
We highly recommend this CRaVE mattress to side sleepers. If you are a lightweight back sleeper who enjoys sinking in at the hip area, you might find it comfortable as well. But I recommend back and stomach sleepers to look into the CRaVE Medium Firm Foam mattress.
Temperature
CRaVE has created a mattress that sleeps temperature neutral. The cover is made with cooling fibers and the top layer of memory foam is infused with gel. There is great airflow through the mattress, thanks to the innersprings, and you will find cooling air rising up to the gel memory foam, while the body heat escapes down and outwards. We never had a feeling of overheating and slept temperature neutral throughout the night.
Motion Transfer

Eco-Friendly Mattress
I love seeing eco friendly option in this industry. Have you ever thought about how many hours you spend with your body laying on your mattress? Doing quick math, say you spend 8 hours laying each night… Over 365 days, you’ve spent 2,920 hours, or 121 entire days on your sleeping surface! I don’t know about you, but I like that mattress to be as clean as possible!
CRaVE cares about the environment. All of their materials are sourced and manufactured within 200 miles of its High Point, NC factory. By sourcing materials locally, CRaVE is able to majorly reduce its carbon footprint on the environment.
The foams are bio-based and 30% of the petroleum is replaced with a soy-based ingredient.

How Do I Care For CRaVE?
Since the cover is not removable, you will need to tend to stains with a cloth, water, and mild detergent. The faster you get to them, the better your chances to get rid of the stains. I always recommend the use of a mattress protector, especially on mattresses, like this one, which mattress covers aren’t washable.

This will depend on the foams layered above the coils. A softer foam will provide the pressure point relief a side sleeper needs, while the coils beneath the memory foam helps support those high pressure areas and align the spine nicely. Most hybrid mattresses are an excellent choice for side sleepers, but make sure you are not choosing too firm of a memory foam.
