Heavy-Weight Deep-Freeze Mattress Cover
The SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid Mattress’ cover is cool to the touch, thanks to its deep-freeze technology. It gives a cool first layer of sleep for hot sleepers to lay on.
1″ Cool Gel Memory Foam
The very first layer of foam is only available in the Medium firmness option. One inch of cool gel memory foam welcomes your body. The gel ensure that your body is not cradled in your own body heat and helps your body auto-regulate its own temperature.
1.5″ Copper-Infused Memory Foam
The second layer of foam is infused with copper, which has natural anti-microbial properties, making this SpineAlign mattress a good option for sleepers with allergies. That layer of foam provides 1.5 inches of soft pressure relief and body-contouring cradling.
1″ High-Density Medium-Firmness Memory Foam
The third layer of foam brings in support to your high-pressure areas (hips and shoulders) after the initial 2.5 inches of pressure relief. While the Firm option uses a firm memory foam, the Medium firmness (reviewed here), is a little softer, and a great option for side-sleepers, to bring in support without crushing your high-pressure areas.
8″ Pocketed Coils With Steel Edge
Making this Spine Align mattress a hybrid mattress, the 8 inches of pocketed coils provide healthy support to your bones and spine. The mattress’ perimeter is reinforced with steel to provide more support from edge-to-edge, as well as allow for a wider sleeping surface. Because the body is supported all the way to the edge, it can truly relax in its sleeping position.
1.5″ High-Density Foam
Most hybrid mattresses have 1″ of high-density foam at their base. The Spine Align Luxury Foam Hybrid Mattress boasts 1.5 inches of foam, giving it more life and stability.

We never felt hot sleeping on it, which is easily explained by its cool-touch mattress cover, a first layer of cooling-gel infused foam that draws your body's heat away from you, and the copper-infused foam below. Additionally, the pocketed coils let plenty of air flows through the mattress, giving your hot body air a way to escape, while cooler air reaches the foams above. |

What Is Inside The SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid Mattress?
The SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid Mattress is a 13-inch mattress (Medium Firmness version) (12 inches for the Firm version). It boasts 3 layers of foam on top of a thick layer of coils, and its bottom base of high-density foam.
The SpineAlign mattress cover is made of a proprietary cooling fabric that feels cool to the touch, and provides an inviting feeling to hot sleepers.
The top three layers of foam provide 3.5 inches of pressure relief of varying degrees. With foams infused with cooling gel, and copper, the pressure relief is accompanied by heat-pulling and anti-microbial properties, ensuring that the body auto-regulates its own temperature, and preventing the growth of mold, mildew, and dust mites.
The third layer of foam is slightly denser, providing a comfortable transition into the thick layer of coils below, which provides support to the high-pressure areas in the shoulders and hips. Those two layers provide spine-aligning benefits to ensure that your spine lays in an aligned position if you are a side-sleeper or lighter-weight back sleepers. We recommend the Firm version of the mattress for back- and stomach-sleepers, to ensure healthy spine alignment.
Another benefit of the coils is their steel perimeter, which provides a wider sleeping surface, as well as an easier way to come in and out of bed, without the feeling of rolling off in the middle of the night.
Lastly, the bottom layer is 1.5 inches of high-density foam, providing a thick layer for the coils to decompress into, adding life and stability to the SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid mattress.
How Does The Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress Sleep?
Firmness
If you purchase the Medium firmness SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid mattress, you are getting a medium firmness mattress, which we rated a 6.5 out of 10 – so right in the middle of the pack.
The coils support works really well at providing support to the high-pressure areas (hips and shoulders) after they get 3.5 inches of pressure relief in the upper foams.
We found this SpineAlign hybrid mattress to give the spine the ideal alignment throughout the night for side-sleepers and lighter-weight back-sleepers.
Sleeping Style
The SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid Mattress is ideal for side sleepers. It provides the pressure relief side-sleepers need in their shoulders and hips, while providing ideal support to those areas in the transition foam and coil layers.
I do believe that lighter-weight back-sleepers would find the sleeping surface very comfortable, as well as those who have a general preference for softer mattresses.
Stomach sleepers, however, need a firm sleeping surface that gives them a feeling of floating on top of the mattress, which they would find in the Firm version of this mattress (same price).
Heavier folks would also do well on the Firm version of the SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid mattress, as it is rated to hold up to 850 lbs of weight.
Temperature
Cooling-gel foams, cooling cover, and a thick layer of coils that lets air flow through this mattress, make the SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid mattress a temperature-neutral mattress that works really well for hot-sleepers and couples with different temperature preferences. It allows the body to auto-regulate its own temperature so it does not sweat, or feel cold, in any weather.
Motion Transfer
Thanks to the pocketed coils and thick layers of foam, each partner’s motion is isolated inside the mattresses and prevents any disturbance to the other sleeper. You will not be bothered by your partner during the night.
How Do I Care For The Silk & Snow Organic Mattress?
We recommend that you rotate your SpineAlign Luxury Foam Hybrid Mattress by 180 degrees every six months to ensure optimal feel and increase the longevity of the mattress. You should however never flip the mattress, since the layers are meant to stay positioned in a certain order.
The top cover is unfortunately not removable, so you can’t remove it and wash it. So instead, soak up the liquid with a cloth, as early as possiblem if the spill is large. Then blot clean immediately with cold water and a gentle cleaning solution. Just make sure you don’t rub, as that could spread the stain. If the stain is large, you might also want to let the mattress air dry completely in a well-ventilated area, before covering it with your sheets again.
