Breathable Bamboo Cover
The closer layer to your head, the Nolah Quishy Pillow cover is made of bamboo. Being naturally moisture-wicking and antibacterial, bamboo sleeps cool and clean. It is also machine washable and can be thrown in the dryer. The bamboo cover ensures that your head lays on a cool surface and you don’t find yourself sweating at night.
Cubed Cooling Foam
The fill inside the Nolah Squishy Pillow is made of cubed cooling foam. Nolah is known for engineering mattresses and bedding products that sleep cool and this is no exception. The memory foam inside the pillow is infused with gel beads, which purpose is solely to keep the foam cool. You will love the airy feeling this cubed memory foam gives to the pillow.
Adjustable Firmness
The Nolah Squishy Pillow is made of the outer bamboo cover and an inner insert filled with the cubed memory foam. Both cover have a zipper that make it very easy to open in the inner insert and remove as much foam as you deem comfortable for your preferred sleeping position.

We love the Squishy Pillow for all sleeping styles, as well as for cold and hot sleepers alike. With its bamboo cover, you are sleeping on a very soft surface, laying your head on a naturally moisture-wicking and anti-bacterial material.

Who Is Nolah?
Nolah calls itself a “sleep technology company.” It is an online bed-in-a-box company that launched in 2015. All of their products are designed in Denver, CO, and made in the USA. Yet, they are able to keep their prices down and pass on their savings to their consumers – you!
Nolah’s aim is to create tomorrow’s mattress. After realizing that latex was invented in the 1920’s and that the memory foam we still use in mattresses today, had not evolved since the 1970’s, they decided to design superior mattresses by leveraging the latest technologies.
AirFoam™ was born. The Nolah AirFoam™ is 100% temperature neutral, as it does not contain viscoelastic chemicals commonly found in memory foam. It sleeps so cool that it does not require the use of cooling gels in its layers, and has been scientifically-proven to be more durable and provide more pressure relief than its older sister, the memory foam. What Is Inside The Nolah Squishy Pillow?
The Nolah Squishy Pillow is made of 2 parts – its cover and the inner insert. Let’s look at both independently:
The Nolah Squishy Pillow Cover
Made of bamboo and matelassée, it is one of the softest pillow covers on the market. Feeling thick and luxurious, we love the many natural properties of bamboo. Our two favorite are the moisture-wicking and anti-bacterial properties.
Because bamboo is more moisture-wicking than cotton, it allows your body’s moisture to be wicked away from your body and evaporate to leave you feeling cool and refreshed. The anti-bacterial properties of bamboo mean that you are laying your head on a clean surface – no mold, mites, or mildew.
Shredded Cooling Memory Foam Insert
Inside the bamboo cover, you will find a zippable insert filled with cooling shredded memory foam. The foam is infused with cooling gel beads, which prevent the it from trapping heat.
Because the foam is cubed in small cubes, it remains airy, allowing fresh air to constantly flow in and out of the pillow, ensuring that you do not overheat on this pillow.
How Does The Nolah Squishy Pillow Sleep?
Firmness
The Nolah Squishy Pillow allows for full customization of firmness and thickness. Depending on your sleeping style, remove as much shredded foam as you need to, in order to align your neck and spine in a healthy position.
Note that the Squishy Pillows come slightly over filled to allow all sleepers to adjust to their exact preference. You can make this pillow as firm or soft as you’d like, without loosing on the soft and plush feel of the bamboo cover.
Temperature
Because of its bamboo cover paired with shredded cooling memory foam, the Nolah Squishy Pillow sleeps very cool. We like to call it temperature neutral, where you will neither be cold nor warm laying your head on this pillow.
Thanks to the natural moisture-wicking properties of bamboo and the airy cooling gel memory foam, you will find that your head rests on the perfect temperature pillow. The bamboo allows your body to self-regulate to its best temperature, and the cooling memory foam shredded to small cubes means that your body heat does not get trapped inside the pillow.
Maintenance
The Nolah Squishy Pillow is made of two pieces. The bamboo cover can be unzipped and machine washed in warm water. You can further dry it on low tumble or let it air dry. This is the most convenient way to maintain a clean pillow night after night.
The inner insert, filled with cubed cooling memory foam, needs to washed by hand when necessary. There shouldn’t be much of a reason to need to clean it, unless a large spill was to stain the inner insert. If so, simply blot the stain as quickly as possible with a clean cloth and clear water, and let air dry away from the sun.
Sleeping Style
Because you can adjust the Squishy Pillow to your desired height and firmness, we can recommend it for all sleeping styles.
Remove just a bit of memory foam if you are a side sleeper, until you reach the desired thickness to align your spine in the neck area.
Back and stomach sleepers will want to remove a lot more foam. Back sleepers will probably be removing as much as 1/3 to 1/2 of the shredded foam, while stomach sleepers will remove at least 1/2 of the foam.
Make sure to keep the extra memory foam in case you ever need to adjust the pillow.
How Do I Care For My Nolah Squishy Pillow?
Nolah makes it easy and convenient to care and maintain your Squishy Pillow. The outer bamboo cover can be machine washed in warm water, and dried in your dryed on tumble low. You can also decide to hang it dry.
The inner insert filled with cubed cooling memory foam should NOT be machine washed. Should you need to tend to a stain, hand wash it or blot the stain with a clean cloth and clear water, then let air dry away from the sun.
