In more detail...
100% Viscose From Bamboo
Both the Nolah Bamboo Sheet Set and the upper layer of the Nolah Waterproof Mattress Protector, are made of 100% viscose from bamboo, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and OEKO-Tex. There is no use of blend or composite and the softness speaks for itself. The bamboo used in Nolah’s bedding is certified to be coming from sustainable bamboo farms, making an eco-friendly material for your home.
The bamboo used in the Nolah Bamboo bed sheets and mattress protector is natural and non-toxic. It has been certified by OEKO-Tex as free of harmful chemicals, making it a great choice for those suffering from allergies and skin rashes. The bamboo is antibacterial and hypoallergenic and recommended by dermatologists for people suffering from sensitive skin.
Bamboo has incredible moisture-wicking properties, which allow for cool sleep throughout the night. The Nolah Mattress Protector does not trap the heat like other protectors do, and the sheets and pillow cases wick your moisture away, allowing you to sleep cool on hot nights, and comfortably warm on cool nights.
Machine Washable + Tumble Dry
Easy care is a must and huge plus when shopping for bedding accessories. The Nolah Bamboo Sheet Set and Waterproof Mattress Protector can be machine washed on cold and tumble dried on low or medium heat, making them an easy and convenient product to use every day.
Nolah Bamboo Sheets Sleep Tests
Everything we felt in one box
The Nolah Bamboo Sheets are softer than soft, and they stay soft wash after wash. We tested them over a month before writing this review and have thrown them in four washes. They stay soft, do not wrinkle easily, and don't peel. The Nolah Waterproof Mattress Protector is so soft you won't feel it. It adds plushness to your sleep and allows you to fully feel the mattress underneath you, instead of the regular, loud plasticky, feel of regular mattress protectors.
Bamboo is a naturally-breathable material, wicking away 50% more moisture than cotton. It wicks away the body's extra moisture on hot nights to keep you cool and refreshed. In the winter, the Nolah Bamboo Sheets actually sleep warm, keeping your body at the ideal temperature. We put those sheets to the test, wanting to truly understand the temperature-regulating properties of bamboo, and tested them in our RV in 80- and 30-degree nights. We never got hot, nor sweat in them during our test. We also felt incredibly cozy on cold nights and have kept using them as our main sheets ever since for that reason!
Because the Nolah Bamboo Sheets are made of 100% viscose from bamboo, they are easy and convenient to take care of and maintain. When you are ready to wash, throw them in the washing machine on cold or medium heat and wash with like colors, without using bleach or fabric softener. From there, you can dry them on medium heat, avoiding dryer sheets to keep them going longer than regular cotton sheets. After washing them four times, they have not lost any of their softness.
The Nolah Bamboo Sheet Set comes in the 7 regular mattress sizes: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, California King, and Split King. The Nolah Bamboo Waterproof Mattress Protector comes in the same sizes, except for Split King. For Split King, simply order 2 Twin XL mattress protectors. As far as color options, the Nolah Sheet Set comes in white, so does the Bamboo Mattress Protector.
The Nolah Bamboo Fitted Sheet will fit mattresses up to 16 inches deep, while the Bamboo Mattress Protector has pockets to hold tight around mattresses up to 15 inches deep. Both will fit virtually all mattresses.

Who Is Nolah?
Nolah calls itself a “sleep technology company.” It is an online bed-in-a-box company that launched in 2015. All of their products are designed in Denver, CO, and made in the USA. Yet, they are able to keep their prices down and pass on their savings to their consumers – you!
Nolah’s aim is to create tomorrow’s mattress. After realizing that latex was invented in the 1920’s and that the memory foam we still use in mattresses today, had not evolved since the 1970’s, they decided to design superior mattresses by leveraging the latest technologies.
AirFoam™ was born. The Nolah AirFoam™ is 100% temperature neutral, as it does not contain viscoelastic chemicals commonly found in memory foam. It sleeps so cool that it does not require the use of cooling gels in its layers, and has been scientifically-proven to be more durable and provide more pressure relief than its older sister, the memory foam. You will find AirFoam™ in the Nolah Original, Signature, and Evolution.
In August 2021, Nolah came out with its first natural Talalay Latex mattress and added a kid Latex mattress as well – the Nolah Nurture 10 – which is flippable to grow with the child!! The Nolah Natural uses 11 inches of natural, organic, and recycled materials to protect your body and our planet.
Lastly, Nolah cuts the middle man and truly passes on the savings to its buyers, with all Nolah Original 10″ mattresses well below $1,000 after discount and Signature 12″ mattresses in the low to mid-$1,000 range in larger sizes, it has come out with a luxury hybrid mattress – the Evolution – in November 2020, priced in the mid-$1,000 range after discounts, and the natural Latex Nolah Natural in August 2021, priced a little lower.

What Is Inside The Nolah Bamboo Bed Sheets and Waterproof Bamboo Mattress Protector?
In this review, we tested the Nolah Bamboo Sheet Set that came with a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and two pillowcases, as well as the Waterproof Bamboo Mattress Protector.
Both products are made of 100% viscose from bamboo, which has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council for its sustainable farming and harvesting, and received the Standard 100 certification by OEKO-TEX, proving the lack of toxins and harmful chemicals in the finished product.
The mattress protector has an added layer on the mattress side (the layer closest to your skin is bamboo) to waterproof the protector. That layer is made of thin TPU to ensure no stain or liquid ever reaches your mattress, protecting your investment from spills and accidents.
You will find the Sheets and the Duvet Cover to be an ideal option for people suffering from skin rashes, allergies, or with sensitive skin. The bamboo is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. Dermatologists recommend it as it repels dust mites, mold, and mildew.
How Do The Nolah Bamboo Bed Sheets Sleep?
You might not know “soft sheets” until you slide into your Nolah Bamboo bed sheets. They are beyond soft and could be described as buttery or silky soft.
Bamboo is the softest natural bedding material. It sleeps naturally soft, without any of the added chemicals. If you like soft and enjoy sateen cotton, those Nolah Bamboo Sheets are taking it up a notch and I promise you you’ll want to hit that snooze button.
Additionally, we put the Nolah Sheets through the wash and dry test. After four washing cycles, the sheets have retained all of their softness. There is no peeling and they are just as soft as when we received them, looking very durable with frequent use.
Did you know that bamboo is 50% more moisture-wicking than cotton? Your extra body heat and moisture are not getting trapped in your sheets. They are wicked away by the bamboo and evaporate into the air, keeping you dry and cool throughout the night.
What does that mean on colder nights? We put the Nolah Bamboo Sheet Set to the ultimate test, and took them out to our RV to sleep in temperatures from the low-30’s to the mid-80’s. We got neither hot nor cold – just cozy and perfect temperature. During colder nights, the bamboo sheets kept us warm and cozy, helping our body temperature to regulate on its own.
On hot nights, they kept us from sweating and we never felt hot. Our body heat did not get trapped and we slept cool throughout the night.
Nolah carries several Bamboo Bed Sheet sizes for their Sheet Set. They are available in Twin, Twin XL, Queen, King, California King, and Split King. All fitted sheets will fit mattresses up to 16 inches thick, which is virtually any mattress on the market. Nolah’s thickest mattress is 15 inches thick, and it is one of the thickest mattresses we have ever sleep tested.
Because of their deep pockets, the Nolah Bamboo Sheets are an excellent option if you use an adjustable base. They will not pop off when you raise your bed.
Anti-Bacterial / Hypoallergenic
We recommend the Nolah Bamboo Bed Sheets to anyone with skin conditions, or dealing with sensitive skin or allergies.
Bamboo is naturally hypoallegenic and antimicrobial. Additionally, Nolah does not add any harmful chemicals, toxins, or dyes, earning them the OEKO-Tex 100 certification. They are a great option if you wake up with rashes, eczema, or other skin conditions often. They also keep dust mites, E. Coli, staph, yeast, mold, and mildew away, providing a clean environment for you to sleep in.
How Does The Nolah Waterproof Bamboo Mattress Protector Sleep?
Thanks to its incredible thickness and its upper layer made of 100% viscose from bamboo, the Nolah Waterproof Mattress Protector feels like an extension of your mattress.
You will not feel it! No squeaking, no noise, no plastic feeling… you rip the full benefits of your mattress and do not loose any of its comfort. If anything, the Nolah Mattress Protector adds a thin layer of comfortable plushness.
Lastly, the protector does not fold underneath your sheets, creating crevices or uncomfortable bumps. It marries the shape of your mattress and stays in place, thanks to its 15″-deep pockets, making it undiscoverable under your sheets!
Thanks for its thick bamboo cover, the Nolah Mattress Protector does not trap your body heat and prevents you from sleeping hot. It is naturally moisture wicking and highly breathable, making for very comfortable nights of sleep.
We put the Nolah Bamboo Mattress Protector to the water test. It claims to be waterproof, and it truly is. We opened the faucet on it and water never made it true. I am not talking about a glassful spill… I am talking about several minutes of full-on faucet water. No water ever came through.
Should you have any defect or issues with its waterproof properties, the Nolah Waterproof Bamboo Mattress Protector comes with a 10-year warranty.
