At its core, the Pod 4 Ultra is a mattress cover designed to provide a highly customizable sleep environment, utilizing a range of advanced materials and smart technologies to enhance sleep quality.
Outside of the mattress cover, you will also receive a 3-inch thick adjustable bed base holding up to 750 lbs with pre-set automatic adjustments that are very handy, especially for sleepers who snore at night.
Lastly, you will sign up for the Eight Sleep app, which allows you to setup and schedule your Eight Sleep Pod 4 Ultra, receive daily sleep and health reports, and access a wide library of restful content.
Mattress Materials and Layers
If you choose to add the 5-layer mattress to your Pod 4 purchase, your mattress will constructed with multiple foam layers designed to offer a perfect balance of comfort and support. The key layers include:
- Pod 4 Technology Layer: The topmost layer, known as the Active Grid, integrates sensors and a water-based cooling system. The base is designed to support up to 750 lbs of combined mattress + body weight.
The Eight Sleep adjustable base comes with pre-set positions, including: TV watching / book reading, relaxing, elevated sleeping.
Note however, that the base moves as a whole – so both partners rise and lower at the same time.
Vibration Alarm
