DreamCloud Luxe Mattress - Composition
The DreamCloud Luxe is a lofty, 14-inch-tall mattress—substantially thicker than most standard mattresses—making it easier to enter and exit bed and compatible with deeper sheets (look for sheets with 15″ deep pockets).
Cloud-Quilt Euro-Top Cover
The cover is a stretch fabric blend woven with cooling fibers, forming a plush Euro-style pillow-top. It is the signature cover on all DreamCloud mattresses, and we find it soft to the touch and breathable, giving your bed a luxurious feel when you first lie down.
Dynamic Temperature Control Layer
Beneath the cover is a phase-change panel (and gel-infused foams) which helps dissipate your body’s heat and regulate temperature. This layer provides solid temperature control, though some very mild heat retention remains, typical of all-foam beds – not enough for us to get hot during our sleep tests in September in Florida.
Contouring Memory Foam Layer
Under the top layers, gel-infused memory foam adds deep body contouring and pressure relief. This extra-deep hug is particularly beneficial for side sleepers, relieving pressure points in the hips and shoulders, and offering a close, cradling feel. We found this contouring foam layer to give the DreamCloud Luxe a very inviting and cozy feeling.
Zoned Support Foam
The transitional layer is made of polyfoam, zoned for back and hip support—firm where your body needs lift, softer where you need contouring. It helps keep the spine aligned while maintaining comfort, and acts as transition layer between the softer top foams and the firmer support foam below.
Stabilizing High-Density Foam
The support core is a high-density polyfoam base—durable and supportive, commonly found in all-foam mattresses—making up the majority of the 14-inch thickness. It provides foundational support and longevity, and further supports the spine, bones, and joints.

Firmness & Sleeping Styles
We have rated the DreamCloud Luxe memory-foam mattress as medium-firm, around a 6.5 on the 10-point scale, which is industry average. It is an ideal mattress for sleepers enjoy a mild plush contouring in the upper layer, before hitting strong support below.
Back Sleepers: We recommend the DreamCloud Luxe to all back sleepers. It provides the right amount of cozy plushness and support to sleep in a very comfortable way.
Side Sleepers: Side sleepers under 230 lbs will get the perfect amount of pressure relief in their hips and shoulders, while finding deeper support for those high-pressure areas and the rest of their body in the lower, firmer, layers.
Stomach sleepers: Generally, stomach sleepers will achieve their healthiest sleeping position on mattresses of at least 8/10 on the firmness scale. Some lighter-weight stomach sleepers, however, may have a personal preference for softer mattresses. If this is your case, and you are under 130 lbs, the DreamCloud Luxe may offer what you are looking for.
Temperature
The DreamCloud Luxe offers solid temperature control, especially given its all-foam construction. Cooling fibers in the cover and gel infusion help, but some heat retention is inevitable due to deep contouring – though we did not suffer from heat, nor sweat, during our sleep tests in September in Florida.
We found the DreamCloud Luxe acceptable even as hot sleepers and like to rate it “temperature neutral.” If you are a very hot sleeper, consider the hybrid version for more effective cooling.
Motion Transfer
Motion isolation is one of the standout strengths of the DreamCloud Luxe.
We found its memory foam layers to absorb movement effectively, making it an ideal mattress if you sleep with a pet, child, or partner and are a light sleeper. We don’t expect movement from a partner to be disruptive.
Maintenance & Durability
Like most modern mattresses, the DreamCloud Luxe is designed to be low-maintenance. It is a one-sided mattress, so there’s no need to flip it over regularly. However, we recommend rotating the mattress head-to-foot every 3 to 6 months to ensure even wear.
Cleaning the Mattress
The CloudQuilt cover is not removable, but you can easily spot clean it with a mild detergent and water to remove any stains. Tend to the stain when it is still fresh and blot it with a clean cloth, fresh water, and a mild detergent. Do not rub, and do not over-saturate with water. Ensure it is completely dry prior to putting your sheets back on.
As always, we recommend always using a high-quality waterproof mattress protector, to protect your investment and extend its lifespan while maintaining hygiene.

Those wanting bounce or ease of movement: Deep foam hug makes repositioning feel slower, making movement a little harder, and making this mattress not ideal for sex.
Hot sleepers needing airflow: Cooling is solid but not exceptional; the hybrid version is cooler overall and $50 to $100 cheaper than the all-foam.
