Softness
At first touch, the Tuft & Needle Hemp Sheets may feel slightly coarser than your typically sateen cotton, or Tencel, sheets. That is a characteristic typical of hemp fabric.
However, since Tuft & Needle pre-washes the fabric, they come quite soft (for hemp sheets) right out of the box! With each wash, they progressively soften (which we have verified with three cycles during our sleep tests, offering softer comfort over time. After several washes, you can expect the sheets to reach a softness comparable to well-worn linen, providing a cozy and soft sleeping experience.
Temperature Regulation
One of the standout features of hemp fabric is its breathability. The Tuft & Needle Hemp Sheets excel in regulating temperature, keeping sleepers cool during warmer months and warm during cooler seasons as the body is able to auto-regulate its own temperature. When auto-regulating, it is able to reach the perfect temperature for each sleeper, no matter the temperature in the bedroom.

Maintenance
To preserve the quality and longevity of the Tuft & Needle Hemp Sheet Set, we recommend the following instructions:
Washing: Machine wash on a cold (or at least cool) cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid liquid fabric softeners, and do not use any chlorinated bleach or powerful stain removers, as they can weaken fibers and cause discoloration.
Drying: Line-drying is always better to protect the fabric, however the convenience of a dryer is hard to beat and it is ok to use on those sheets. If using a dryer, select a low-heat setting and remove the sheets promptly to minimize wrinkles.
Ironing: If needed, iron on the low setting to remove excess wrinkles.
By following these easy maintenance steps, you will find that your sheets remain soft and smooth over time.
