Here, we are reviewing the 9-inch thick PlushBeds Botanical Bliss, you may however decide to upgrade to the 10 inch version of the same mattress, or add an extra layer of GOLS Certified Organic Latex in the 12-inch version of the mattress.

Firmness
On a firmness scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest, we rated the medium option of the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss mattress a 6.5/10. This medium firmness strikes a balance between soft cushioning and supportive stability, making it versatile enough to sleep comfortably and healthily for various sleeping positions.
- Side Sleepers: The medium firmness of this mattress provides enough cushioning for side sleepers, who often need softer materials to relieve pressure on their shoulders and hips. In the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss, the hips and shoulders get enough pressure relief to allow for a well-aligned spine. For lighter-weight side sleepers who prefer a very plush mattress, this mattress may be a little too firm however.
- Back Sleepers: We recommend this mattress to most back sleepers. The Botanical Bliss mattress offers even weight distribution and support for the spine, especially beneficial for those who need moderate firmness to maintain alignment.

Temperature
The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss mattress is an excellent option for hot sleepers, thanks to its breathable and naturally cooling materials:
- Organic Cotton Cover & Wool: The GOTS-certified organic cotton cover and wool layer allow air to circulate and wick moisture away from the body. Wool, in particular, has natural temperature-regulating properties, helping to dissipate heat on warmer nights and retain warmth during cooler periods.
- Latex Layers: Latex is more breathable than memory foam, allowing for better airflow, as it is pierced with large holes that let plenty of air flow through. The latex layers in the Botanical Bliss prevent the mattress from retaining heat, making it less likely to trap warmth compared to many foam mattresses.
Motion Transfer
The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss performs fairly well in terms of motion isolation. While latex isn’t as adept at isolating motion as memory foam, the Botanical Bliss mattress does a good job of minimizing motion transfer and we felt very minimal motion transfer during our sleep tests:

- Low Bounce: Despite being a bit bouncier than memory foam, this mattress does not create excessive motion, making it a good choice for couples who prioritize motion isolation.
Maintenance

- Flipping and Rotating: PlushBeds recommends rotating the mattress every few months to evenly distribute wear – we usually recommend every 3 to 6 months. Latex is a durable material that holds its shape well, but rotation can help maintain its feel over the long term.
- Cleaning: To clean the mattress, it is best to spot-clean stains with mild soap and water, by blotting the stain with a cloth (never rub a stain, as it could spread it). The organic cotton cover should not be machine-washed. Only unzip it if/ when switching out the firmness of the mattress.
- Cover Protection: Using a high-quality waterproof mattress protector is recommended to shield the organic cotton cover from spills and stains, helping maintain the mattress’s overall hygiene and longevity.
